Exciting opportunity to join Currie & Brown as a Cost Engineer.
A general list of responsibilities we task our Cost Engineers is as follows:
- Develop and
maintain budget and track project costs throughout the life of projects
- Change
management, estimate impacts of changes and contingency drawdown
- Monthly cost
reporting and budget reconciliation
- Develop risk
register and track impacts
- Cash flow
forecasting and monitoring
- Undertaking
payment recommendations and review of contractor / consultant invoices
- Developing
WBS and cost breakdowns
- Cost
estimating through various design stages using past experience, historical data
and parametric ratios
- Supporting
client account management
- Communicating
details effectively to internal and external stakeholders including
presentation
- Establish
new and maintain existing project controls tools
- Experience working
on large complex capital projects not required but a plus
- Extensive
knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of products (MS Word, Excel, Project)
- Candidates with
the ability to be self-managing and require minimum supervision
- Good time
management, communication and interpersonal skills
- Desire to
lead, mentor and develop a successful team
- Organized
with ability to manage work load
- Bachelors or
Master’s Degree related technical field preferable
