Direct Support Professional - Job Coach & Advising Professional

ADVISING PROFESSIONAL
Diversability Inc. Advising Professionals work with the Pivot Progam guiding individuals on their journey of independent living. Advising Professionals provide mentorship for individuals experiencing diversabilities in home and community settings. Each individual we serve has goals specific to their needs and desires; Advising Professionals are tasked with supporting individuals in accomplishing these goals. Research is consistent and clear in illustrating the positive impact of mentor services. Increased self-confidence, self-sufficiency, self-advocacy, as well as academic performance, including school attendance, are examples of the many ways mentors positively influence the lives of individuals. JOB COACH 
Diversability Inc. Job Coaches work with the Integrated Employment Program guiding individuals along the journey of obtaining and maintaining meaningful employment. Job Coaches understand the significance of gainful employment and are passionate about transforming individual interests and strengths into skills and talents necessary in employment settings. Job Coaches directly impact our community through their work promoting integration and inclusion. Job Coaching involves mentoring employees in their chosen employment environment while assisting them in maintaining employment and progressing in their chosen field. Job Coaching services are intended to continue as long as individuals require them with the intention of reaching full independence.
*Starting wage is dependent on relevant education & experience.
*This is a part time position.

EMPLOYEE EXPECTATIONS 
All employees are expected to demonstrate professionalism, respect, and authenticity. Requirements and qualifications for all employees include:
  • Must be 18+ years of age
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • High School Diploma, or approved equivalent
  • Comprehensive background check approval
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • One year of professional experience in the field of diversabilities
  • Ability to provide skills training for individuals to increase independence
  • Complete work related training including CPR/First Aid, Information Security, Mandatory Abuse Reporting, and other core competencies
  • Ability to safely and adequately perform tasks outlined in Individual Support Plans (ISP’s).
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations
