Virtual Human Resources Internship

YOakleyPR is a boutique public relations firm that empowers registered nonprofit corporations and 501(c)(3) charitable organizations in the Greater Philadelphia Area with public relations, social media, and online marketing support services.

Our mission is simple: To make public relations an asset for nonprofits, not a problem. We are dedicated to empowering nonprofit organizations with the tools they need to increase public awareness of programs and initiatives, engage potential donors or constituents using traditional and digital media relations, and earn media placements on the local, regional, and national levels while respecting budget limitations and deadlines.

A part-time unpaid, intern position assisting with the development and administration of various human resource plans and procedures for a boutique public relations firm in an effort to make YOakleyPR an awesome place for undergraduate (Junior or above), graduate and recent college(< 3 years) graduates to intern.
As a Human Resources Intern, you will:
• Contribute to the development of a small business' human resources team.
• Create and update onboarding and exiting materials, including handbooks, training manuals and surveys.
• Participate in identifying and developing team goals and objectives.
• Plan and execute employee incentive plans, including the Intern of the Month Award.
• Assist in the evaluation of reports and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements.
• Assist in conducting recruitment efforts for contractors or part-time interns, write and place advertisements, read and evaluate resumes, create interview questions, and conduct interviews over the phone.
• Maintain personnel records, and handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Participate in weekly team meetings and other meetings and educational seminars as appropriate.
• Any additional reasonable request deemed necessary by management.
• Advise senior management of those situations which may pose a significant risk to the program or impact the customer satisfaction results.
Required: Human Resources, Microsoft Office Applications, Communication Skills Listening, Excellent Communication Skills, Dependable Team Player.

Preferred: Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Interview Skills, Exit Interviews, Internal & External Communications, Nonprofit experience

5) Write and modify internship position descriptions
6) Create interview questions and conduct interviews through the phone
7) Maintain personnel records, handling sensitive information with confidentiality
8) Plan and execute employee incentive plans, including Intern of the Month Award
9) Participate in mandatory weekly department meetings and other meetings and seminars as appropriate
