The InternSHIFT Program for Summer 2021 will offer one part-time and one full-time, 12-week, paid industry project opportunities for engineering or computer science students. Projects will begin on June 21 and end on Sept. 10. The part-time project will require from 10 to 15 hours per week. The full-time project is 40 hours per week and requires on-site work. Students will be selected and compensated directly by the company sponsoring the project; students will not be employed by OSU.

All students may apply, however preference will be given to students in their 3rd or 4th year of coursework, students in post-bacc programs, and to masters students. Recent graduates (within the past year) may apply, but please be aware that some companies may have policies that require interns to be continuing students.

To apply, you will need to upload a resume and an unofficial transcript, and answer supplemental questions in a separate survey. These questions will include a statement of interest.

The minimum wage suggested to participating employers is $16.50 per hour. Compensation may vary according to each company's hiring policies and practices.

Some projects may require US citizenship or work authorization, depending on the nature of the work to be done and the organization sponsoring the project. If required, this will be indicated in the project descriptions.
