Part-time On Air Technician - Television

NewsChannel 21 is the dominant news leader in Central Oregon, with six hours of news daily, and we have an open position in our operations department available at this time. Currently we are looking for a Part-time Director/On-Air Technician to run our award winning Sunrise newscasts five mornings a week.

The Part-time Director/On-Air Technician will assist in running all aspects of the control room such as directing live newscasts, operating audio/graphics, and assisting master control. This includes operating remote cameras, production switcher, controlling video playout, and cueing both studio talent and control room staff. Additional duties include creating graphics needed for newscasts and ensuring programming is ready for air in a timely manner. An accurate log of all materials broadcast for air must also be kept.

Qualified applicants must have strong analytical and organizational skills. Candidates need to be able to work in a fast-paced work environment and adaptable to changes. Candidate should possess excellent communication (verbal and written) as well as be a team player. Being computer savvy is a essential. Training is available.
