Employment Professional - Job Developer

The Diversability Inc. Integrated Employment Job Developer works with referral sources in assisting clients throughout the job development process. This position is supervised by the JD Team Lead in concert with the Program Director, with wage dependent on experience and determined by the Administrative Team. The IE Job Developer is required to demonstrate the following: Knowledge of developmental disability services; knowledge of the rules governing employment services; ability to provide skills training for individuals to increase employability; ability to support individuals to maintain and be successful in employment; ability to safely and adequately perform the tasks to support the Individual Support Plan (ISP) and Career Development Plan for an individual. The IE Job Developer accomplishes their responsibilities through a collaborative, constructive and compassionate style, guided by Diversability Inc. mission and vision statements. 
Minimum qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, or approved equivalent
  • Over 18 years of age and legal ability to work in the United States 
  • Reference and Background check approval
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations
  • Successful completion of CPR/First Aid, Mandatory Abuse, HIPAA, and Person-Centered Language trainings within 90 days of employment
  • Adept usage of Google products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities: 
  • Pass background check every 2 years
  • Maintain current required certifications: CPR/First Aid, Abuse reporting
  • Successfully complete at least 12 hours of Employment Professional training within 1 year, including Core Competencies
  • Successful completion of Oregon Intervention System training within one year of hire
  • Successful completion of supported employment certification (CESP, ACRE, ASPE) within one year of hire
  • Successful completion of at least 12 hours of continuing education for each subsequent year of employment
  • Build and maintain relationships with businesses to secure and expand services, as well as to promote program mission and vision statements  
  • Collaborate with referring agencies, including attending intake meetings    
  • Oversee new client intake process, including completion of intake paperwork 
  • Coordinate with client team members to ensure successful outcomes
  • Coordinate with client team members regarding behavior, medical and other interventions
  • Complete reports in a timely manner using accuracy and appropriate grammar
  • Report concerns and updates to Program Director
  • Provide transportation as needed, maintaining current auto insurance 
  • Use respectful, person-centered language
  • Provide a safe, healthy, productive environment for clients
  • Be on time and ready for work
  • Be open and flexible in availability for scheduling
  • Abide by HIPAA laws, safeguarding all client information
  • Report abuse and other incidents per State and organization guidelines
  • Remain home when experiencing a contagious or communicable illness or disease and notify Program Director immediately
  • Partner with Program Director in transitioning clients from development to coaching
