R&D Mechanical Engineer Intern

This specific internship opportunity involves a position in the time-of-flight mass spectrometry (TOF-MS) research and development group in Agilent's Santa Clara corporate headquarters. You will be involved in the development of next-generation TOF-MS systems. You will work in one of the most technically interesting and stimulating R&D environments, alongside very talented and experienced engineers and scientists. The environment is enjoyable, rewarding, and fast-paced, involving elements of engineering, physics, and chemistry.

Our ideal candidate:
  • Has completed their sophomore year at an accredited 4-year university ideally majoring in mechanical engineering
  • Possesses high proficiency with 3D CAD design, at a minimum, the ability to read and understand mechanical prints and specifications
  • Has strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on ability, attention to detail
  • Has good written and verbal communications skills
  • Exhibits a positive attitude, maturity, and a deep sense of personal responsibility
