Manufacturing Engineer I - Weld

This team develops welding techniques, procedures, and applications of welding equipment in use for fabrication of metals. They investigate and document welding defects to determine appropriate cause and corrective measures. They evaluate and implement use of new welding technology and develops welding procedures for utilization of new equipment. They prepare technical reports as a result of research and development and preventive maintenance investigations. They establish welding procedures to guide production and welding personnel.
 
Real World Responsibilities:
 
In this role you will:
 
-    Provide engineering support to Operations Team
-    Support startup operations of new product lines and providing daily engineering support for existing products
-    Develop and evaluate Engineering Change Request, Engineering Change Notice, and Special Manufacturing Instruction documents

-    Provide you with real-work assignments that will provide you valuable experience as you begin your career
 
Must haves:
  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field by hire date from an ABET accredited program
  • Welding, machining and fabrication skills
  • Ability to develop engineering drawings and schematics with minimal oversight
  • Experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Flexibility to work overtime, different shifts, and travel, on short notice as necessary
  • Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks/projects at one time, and/or project management experience
  • Ability to work independently, competently and within a team
