Job Overview
 
Provide engineered labor standards for complex manufacturing processes. Design and optimize processes aimed at increasing value add using LEAN thinking.

Responsibilities
 
Perform time and motion studies on complex tasks using standard Industrial Engineering methods, including direct observation or engineered standards.
Review new design concepts and generate engineered labor standards. Recommend design changes to optimize install labor and ergonomics.
Utilize LEAN methods to plan new processes and work cells, and optimize existing operations aimed at eliminating waste and increasing efficiencies.
Maintain and update existing labor standards. Create labor standards for new designs. Able to interpret engineering diagrams and develop labor estimates and/or standards based on design specifications and existing manufacturing processes.
Assist in the development of strategies, standards, guidelines and procedures for documenting and establishing labor standards.
Work with project teams responsible for implementing new projects and provide labor estimates during the entire phase of the project from design concepts until production startup.
Provide engineering and economic analysis support in analyzing and designing facilities, work flows, methods, and processes. Participate in capacity planning, new equipment cost justification and make-buy studies.
Prepare and present to corporate and plant management and project teams.
