Mechanical Engineer in Smyrna, TN
We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team as part of our manufacturing program. In this role you will design, enclosures, assemblies and structures for medium voltage products, implementing designs and supporting product introduction to manufacturing facilities. This position is responsible for various mechanical engineering activities related to products manufactured at this location. This position within the Order Engineering team, Smyrna Tennessee will be responsible for mechanical engineering support of US custom designed medium voltage switchgear and control-gear products that are manufactured in multiple countries around the world including the USA, Canada and Mexico, and are supplied to customers all over the world.
Your role
Because you will be working in design, you will need to have some basic knowledge and experience working with Pro-E, and/or CAD 3D modeling. This will allow us to work with you on mastering computer skills and become a better Engineer at Schneider. You will contribute to design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality products. Designs include electrical power products, such as the electrical and mechanical design of conductor systems. Basic knowledge of principles of Electrical Engineering is important for this role.

Qualifications
This job might be for you if…
· You are a recent graduate with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering.
You have experience in 3D design.
You have strong computer skills with MS Office, AutoCAD, Visio, Adobe, Microsoft Office suite.
2-5 years of experience, including internships, in the manufacture or design of electrical distribution equipment is preferred.
