Engineering Manager (Structures) Operation Management Training Program

Description

We are seeking ambitious and dedicated individuals to lead our organization into the future. Join our Operations Management Training (OMT) program and launch a lifelong career with Union Pacific Railroad. As an Engineering Manager (Structures) in the OMT program, you will gain experience and competence in transportation and engineering operations, and learn skills to effectively manage a unionized workforce.

Upon completion of the training program, you will be assigned to a work location where you will direct the safe building and maintenance of track, structures, bridges and tunnels. We need critical thinkers with strong analytical and communication skills who have the confidence to lead a diverse crew of people.

This is an exceptional first-line field management opportunity with significant growth potential. Working in Operations is not a typical 8-to-5, Monday-through-Friday job and it requires someone able to handle a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment. This opportunity will require long hours in all weather conditions and relocation several times throughout your career.
Union Pacific's Operations Management Training program offers 4 classes each year - January, April, July and September.
