SAFETY ENGINEERING INTERN
GENERAL DUTIES AND EXPECTATIONS:
- Staff machine interface safety integration into production equipment.
- Evaluate and propose safety systems.
HOURS AND SALARY:
Gorge Works is marketed as a full-time work experience (internship or apprenticeship with at least minimum wage salary, including 9 paid Professional Development half-days every Wednesday during the program). Please alert us if exceptions need to be made.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Excellent communication through written, verbal and design/drawing.
- Ability to seek and propose multiple answers and solutions to complex issues.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 18 or more years of age.
- Must have a high school diploma and be actively pursuing education in engineering, environmental engineering, fluid mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or safety.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Skillful in new product creation and simplistic solutions based on stakeholder conditions.
- Ability to see and engineer to ergonomic and behavior-based conditions.
