Summer Intern 2019 - Build Coordinator Intern
Primary Responsibilities
Located at Grace Lake Corporate Center (GLCC) in Van Buren Twp., Michigan, this role will function on-site assisting the program delivery team with supply chain related tasks, engineering support, account management support and finance support.
Typical Duties
Supply Chain Management
- Generate and follow up on internal PO (Purchase Order) requests
- Generate Customer Order Reports for distribution to Manufacturing plants, Program Managers and Chief Engineers
- Support weekly meetings with Manufacturing, inventory documentation and component ordering when necessary
- Assist with revenue tracking & reporting for Clusters
- Assist with credit card orders processing
Engineering Support
- Assist with the coordination Builds in the Prototype Assembly Area for Engineering and Program Managers
- Support and perform function testing
- Support Customer Deliveries
- Order Electrical/Mechanical BOMs for Forward Model Programs
- Track on-going orders and verify timing delivery of material meets program and customer demands
- Basic troubleshooting for part substitutions and functional tests
Account Management Support
- Initiate customer billing process with Account Manager
- Re-design RFQ (Request for Quote) to PO matrix
Finance Support
- Assist with the reconciliation of invoices and shippers
- Assist with the approval of invoices
- Assist with the resolution of any invoice discrepancy prior to payment approval
Requirements
Years of Experience: Current enrollment in a Bachelors or Master’s Degree program
Degree: required, strongly preferred: Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain management, Engineering, Business and other related majors
Desired Competencies/Experience
- Demonstrate strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of supply chain management or logistics industry
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite
