Summer Internship

Lefteroff Summer Internship: The Lefteroff Summer Internship at the Fogarty Institute provides students with an immersive hands-on summer experience. Interns will learn from, work with, and network among Fogarty Institute professionals. They will be given access to industry experts and senior leaders to assist and help guide their career choices in an informed manner. There will be opportunities to shadow physicians, observe clinical procedures, and visit med-tech companies, all while working on meaningful projects with the Institute’s companies-in-residence (CIRs).

 

Objectives of the Internship Program: The program is designed to strengthen the medical device ecosystem by inspiring and educating the next generation of innovators. The Lefteroff interns will gain real-world experience in developing new medical devices, while also participating in a structured curriculum of activities designed to provide a broad view of their many career choices and the medical innovation ecosystem. In turn, the CIRs benefit by having access to upcoming, talented individuals to work on specified projects throughout the summer.
