Manufacturing Facilities & Engineering Internship/Co-Op (Summer 2019)

The Role
The Manufacturing facilities team plays a critical role in the success of various projects. Team members are expected not only to have the skills necessary to execute the acceleration of the projects but help manage the efficiency of the turnaround time.

 
Team Overviews
Engineering
  • Prepare design concepts and layouts on HVAC system.
  • Conduct design reviews with Facilities engineering team
  • May use computer-assisted engineering software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Collects and prepares data for evaluation.
  • Assisting in the coordination of projects from conception (feasibility) through final plan preparations.
  • Providing support to engineering staff members as needed.
  • Work with Sr. Engineer to update existing as-built drawing.
What to Expect:
·       A 12-14 week paid internship with great benefits. The internship will allow you to lead significant projects from start to finish and get significant experience you won’t find in the classroom.
 
Where You Will Work:
·       The internship role will be located in Fremont, CA.
 
Requirements:
·       3rd / 4th year student working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, related field
  • Candidate must be currently enrolled in at least their junior year within an Engineering curriculum is required.
  • At least a 3.0 GPA is required
 
Preferred Requirements:
 
·       5th year Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field
·       Related majors include: Chemical and Industrial Engineering
·       GPA of 3.0 and above
 
Additional Requirements:
·       Available for a 12-14 week internship in Summer 2019
·       Available to work 40+ works per week
·       Willing to relocate for an internship opportunity anywhere in the U.S.
 
Knowledge & Skills:
 
·       Self-starters who are results oriented, resourceful, analytical, innovative, intellectually curious and who take initiative and risks
·       Strong communicators
·       Demonstrate strong ability to embrace and adapt to change, take initiative and showcase curiosity, learn quickly in a fast paced environment
·       Strong knowledge of MS Office, specifically Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
·       Previous work experience or internships in related field
·       Previous design intern experience is preferred.
·       Knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM
·       Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills.
·       Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management.
·       Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
·       Strong problem solving skills.
·       Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision.
