The Role
The Prototype Engineering and Fabrication team is a small, tight-knit team comprised of Mechanical, Electrical and Firmware Engineers, Technicians and Fabricators. The team is responsible for the rapid engineering, build and bring-up of functional prototype vehicles to support current and future programs. Projects range from ground-up vehicle builds to modification of existing platforms to evaluate new components and technologies. The work environment is fast-paced and demanding with very high expectations for individual contribution.

Electrical Engineering
As an Electrical Engineering intern, you will have the opportunity to work with some of the most skilled engineers, technicians and fabricators in the industry to quickly design and implement robust solutions to build functional prototypes. Work may include design, build and bring up of boards, harnesses and test setups along with a wide range of interdisciplinary activities to support prototype builds.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a BS or MS program in Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • Must have completed at least 3 years of undergrad
  • Second year students may be considered only with evidence of truly exceptional project experience and skills
  • Relevant past experiences such as internships, co-ops, major projects, hobbies, etc.
  • Demonstrated hands-on capability and inclination (soldering, wire harness builds, physical system integration)
  • Strong engineering knowledge and instincts
  • At least some exposure to electronic design software (Altium, etc.)
  • Strong communication and social skills. The ability to work with many different people and manage working relationships
  • A self-starter who instinctively and consistently creates personal and professional stretch goals and meets them.
