Controls/Automation Engineer

Job Summary

This position will involve developing, programming, installing, commissioning, and supporting automation controls for the sawmill industry. Controls engineers will work with cutting edge technology in the field of PLC controls, Motion Control, Machine Vision and more. Controls engineers will spend time in sawmills and plywood/LVL/CLT plants commissioning and servicing systems and in the Woodland WA office working on project engineering, product development and providing technical support to customers.

Travel to domestic and international locations is required.

Responsibilities

·        Rockwell Automation Logix Designer PLC programming
·        Delta RMC and Rockwell motion control programming
·        FactoryTalk HMI development
·        High-level design, implementation, startup, and troubleshooting (field travel is required)
·        Designing, programming and commissioning vision applications using industrial smart-cameras
·        Designing control panels, operator consoles, and electrical systems


Qualifications

·        Engineering or Technical Degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics)
·        Drive to learn
·        Desire and ability to travel (40%)
