Master Material Science Intern

The HP Boise Site is home to HP’s LaserJet business. This includes product development and marketing. This position is in the LaserJet Printer R&D organization. LaserJet Printers are designed and developed in this organization. Engineering teams develop design concepts, refine designs, solve design issues and work with partners. The science of printing involves many technical disciplines.

This is a summer intern position for a student studying Chemistry or Material Science. The person in this position will work closely with a team of six scientist/engineers. The job requires the use several kinds of analytical lab equipment such as SEM, x-ray, optical microscopes, mass spectrometers, thermal analysis and mechanical property analysis. The person in this position will be assigned to work with a mentor on a chemical and/or material science project related to LaserJet product quality.

-1st or 2nd year University Student towards a Master in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Material Science.
