Weyerhaeuser, in Cottage Grove, OR, is recruiting for interns for the summer of 2019 to work in a variety of roles in wood products manufacturing. We are recruiting for the following locations:

Cottage Grove, OR

Eugene, OR

Lebanon, OR

Raymond, WA

Longview, WA

Kalispell, MT

Columbia Falls, MT

 

At Weyerhaeuser, interns receive extensive mentoring; meaningful and interest projects; and opportunities to learn and grow. This exciting opportunity will give you a wonderful start in one or more of our wood productions operations. Many of our interns return as full-time employees, and a number of senior leaders started their careers as interns at Weyerhaeuser.

 

We are looking for students who are eager, motivated individuals looking for a wide range of experiences in a 3-month internship. Successful candidates will have an interest in learning both technical and business aspects of our wood products operations. We look for students who strive to make a difference in the organization and want to be a leader within an organization. With this opportunity, you will have a unique and personal plan developed to expose you to various projects within our wood products operations. These projects will allow you to contribute to our organization while learning as much as possible about our company and how it operates. The knowledge and skills that you learn can be applied to your growth in your career path. And believe us - there is never a shortage of challenges to tackle and no two days will look the same! Your work may include: learning product flow, quality impacts to the mill and customers, interactions and teaming required to manufacture products, safety culture, operational and financial metrics, major challenges and key opportunities facing our mill operations.

 

Minimum Requirements:


  • Be at least 18

  • Be able and willing to work a flexible schedule (most sites operate 24/7)

  • Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen (includes marijuana), background check, and physical

  • Be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
