Application Engineering Intern

We are looking for individuals to join our family in the specialty of Application Engineering and Technical Sales. The perfect applicant will have a strong aptitude for thermodynamics, refrigeration load calculations, fluid flow calculations, and will be eager to learn about the interesting business segments we serve.

These positions require a strong and cheerful work ethic, a servants heart, an inquisitive mechanical and mathematical aptitude, a strong "lifetime student" interest in refrigeration studies and industry developments and trends. The following apply:
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, is required
  • The ability to learn new/unfamiliar computer software is mandatory
    • (Using vendor-specific programs will be a regular part of the job)
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks and DraftSight is favorable
  • Customer service experience a plus
  • Previous work experience, especially in hands-on trades, a plus
  • Pursuit of a mechanical engineering degree is not required but is desirable; students of other engineering disciplines with an interest in thermodynamics should consider applying as well
In addition to skills relating to the thermal and fluid sciences, individuals with experience in the following categories may be given priority:
  • Distilling or distillation processes (chemical engineers)
  • Fermentation science (biological/environmental engineers)
  • Programming/wiring, especially of industrial controls (electrical/computer science engineers)
