SUMMER 2019 - Paid Operations / Production Internships

WE NEED OPERATIONS/PRODUCTION INTERNS!
WHAT?
Dynamic Manufacturing Inc., is proud to announce the initiation of our official Intern/Apprenticeship program, called, “Legacy of Learning” (LELP). This program operates as an incubator for taking college/vocational school students and evolving them into the true professionals they were meant to be in their chosen area of study. Not only will interns/apprentices assist with day-to-day tasks assisting their direct supervisors – they will oversee major projects and be assigned a mentor who will groom them toward not only attaining class credit but play an integral role in making Dynamic a more dynamic entity of one. This is an opportunity to not only learn but grow as a professional and stamp your name on a company with a long-lasting legacy.
 
WHEN? HOW MUCH? WHO?
We are currently searching for Summer 2019 Operations/Production Interns to work from May 2019 – August 2019. Hours will be 7AM-3:30PM (M-F). Pay is DOE: $12-$15/hr. Interns must be currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution: college or university and or vocational school. Must be able to work for class-credit as well. 
Candidates who are: creative, self-starting, quality-driven and smart working are highly preferred. Must possess strong attention to details.
 
WHAT YOU’LL DO?
Operations/Production Interns are responsible for the hands-on learning, from the ground up, of all 3 major departments in our production line – ranging from: teardown, sub-teardown, case prep and assembly lines.
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
SPECIAL PROJECTS MAY INCLUDE:
Assist/Oversee along with direct supervisors an operations change management plan to increase production flow efficiency and reduce overhead.

Dynamic Manufacturing is a family-owned and operated organization formed in 1951 by John Partipilo. Our organization specializes in the manufacture of automotive, off-road, industrial and racing powertrain products. This includes Torque Converters, Transmissions (Automatic, Manual, CVT and Hybrid models) and Transfer Case Assemblies.
