SUMMER 2019 - PAID MECHANICAL / MANUFACTURING / INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING INTERNS

WE NEED MECHANICAL/INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING Interns!
WHAT?
Dynamic Manufacturing Inc., is proud to announce the initiation of our official Intern/Apprenticeship program, called, “Legacy of Learning” (LELP). This program operates as an incubator for taking college/vocational school students and evolving them into the true professionals they were meant to be in their chosen area of study. Not only will interns/apprentices assist with day-to-day tasks assisting their direct supervisors – they will oversee major projects and be assigned a mentor who will groom them toward not only attaining class credit but play an integral role in making Dynamic a more dynamic entity of one. This is an opportunity to not only learn but grow as a professional and stamp your name on a company with a long-lasting legacy.
 
WHEN? HOW MUCH? WHO?
We are currently searching for Summer 2019 Mechanical, Manufacturing and or Industrial Engineering Interns to work from May 2019 – August 2019. Hours will be 7AM-3:30PM (M-F). Pay is DOE: $12-$15/hr. Those interning for class credit are highly preferred.
 
Requirements:
Mechanical, Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering interns will work on projects and initiatives under the supervision of the Manufacturing Engineering staff. As part of the team, the intern will develop an understanding for the Manufacturing processes and develop methods, tools, and documentation to support lean manufacturing and improve the overall product flow.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
·   Utilize software to Develop facility layout drawings of production and support areas
·   Conduct studies and propose improvements to the overall process flow and spatial utilization based on Lean Manufacturing principles
·   Perform time studies and update time standards
·   Create and update documentation for manufacturing standard of work
Evaluate data collection systems, make recommendations and updates
·   Evaluate ergonomics and safety within the Manufacturing operations
Qualifications: 
 
Minimum
Required Education & Experience:
Sophomore to Junior level standing or higher in engineering course work leading to a Mechanical, Maintenance or Industrial Engineering degree from an accredited 4-year college or university.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to perform assigned tasks and complete work on schedule with minimal supervision.
Eagerness to learn and accept challenges
Able to handle multiple tasks
Good communication skills
Working knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience with Engineering design software a huge plus.
Candidates who are: creative, self-starting, quality-driven and smart working are highly desirable. Must possess strong attention to details.
