Demand Planner

What’s the role?  
You’ll be developing and communicating high level supply plans that convey Oracle liability to suppliers. Interfacing regularly with marketing new products, teams, and finance planning teams to assure plans are as accurate as possible. Analyzing historical volumes and integrating learnings into plans. Query writing and/or analysis is often needed. Monitors consumption at all levels and update plans as needed to diagnose consumption issues and drive resolution with the appropriate functions. Maintains all planning item attributes. Ensures plans flowing out to supplier portals are accurate; performs plan validations and extract commitments from the supply. Base judge the quality of those commitments and escalate as needed. Supports new product teams, end of life teams and excess and obsolete inventory teams waterfalls and other management reports as needed.

Facilitate the Consensus Demand Planning Process and agreement of the final CDP Judgement for Services ARR/unit demand plans. Develops and communicates services demand plans which drive data center capacity plans and hardware demand plans generating Oracle liability with suppliers. Interfaces regularly with Cloud Sales, Finance, Product Management, & Capacity planning teams to assure plans are as accurate as possible for Organic, Inorganic, Project, and Internal Demands.

Monitor hardware spend / forecast to ensure they are aligned to the hardware capacity plans & Capex budgets required to support the Services ARR/unit demand plans for assigned Services & Capacity Pools. Interfaces regularly with Cloud Sales, Finance, Product Management, & Capacity planning teams to assure plans are as accurate as possible for Organic, Inorganic, Project, and Internal Demands.

Serve as Business Operations Point of Contact between assigned Cloud LOB and Operations / GP&F organizations. Ensure required weekly / monthly deliverables are fulfilled as a part of the Capacity Interlocks.

Monitor forecast vs. actual metrics for all sources of Demand at the services layer (organic, Inorganic, Project, & Internal demand) as well as for the hardware demand plans. Monitor the Excess & Obsolete Inventory, and reports performance as well as Risks and Opportunities to Cloud Lines of Business.

Manage the development and implementation of a Data Science based statistical forecast into the Cloud Services CDP process. Understanding of advanced Statistical Models and Algorithms often required. Manages regional demand splits for demand plans.

What will I do?
·      Work involves some problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and procedures.
·      Use statistical models to forecast demand for various Oracle Hardware products.
·      Forecast to plan supply and execute product transitions with a goal of minimizing Excess and Obsolete inventory while assuring availability.

What are you looking for in a candidate?
Basic Qualifications
·      BS in Supply Chain, Economics, Managerial Economics, Statistics, or Management Information Systems
·      GPA 3.2 or greater
·      0-1 year of experience of previous project management, product design or related experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
·      Good knowledge of supply chain management
·      Strong analytical skills, data mining capability with ability to turn data into information
·      Gaining competence in own area and acquiring a higher level understanding of role, processes and procedures.
·      Solid to advanced spreadsheet capabilities
·      Detail oriented
·      Excellent communication skills
·      Thrive in a fast-paced and demanding work environment.
·      Deliver quality work, on-time, while working with personnel at all levels of the organization.
