Student Technical Assistant - CTEMPS Smart Rock
This recruitment is to fill one part-time (a maximum of 20 hours per
week) Student Technical Assistant for the Department of Biological &
Ecological Engineering. The student will work on a collaborative
project between OSU CTEMPS, OSU
OPEnS Lab, and University of Zurich to develop a new sensor system that
monitors parameters of water and wirelessly transmits data for logging
and analysis. This hire will conduct technical research and development
toward the production, testing, and deployment of this system. The hire
will also maintain orderly operations in the OPEnS maker lab, making
sure that equipment is used safely, and is returned in good order, open
the lab and close the lab for sessions for authorized lab users. All
logistical problems, safety issues, and material needs will be reported
to Dr. Udell to be resolved. The hire will be expected to undertake the
construction of the sensing system under the guidance of Lab Director
Dr. Udell and project lead Mitch Nelke.
