Reliability Engineer

RELIABILITY ENGINEER:

Cascade Pacific Pulp is seeking an eager Reliability Engineer to troubleshoot reliability issues and improve overall mill performance.

Primary Purpose:

  • Improved the financial position of CPP by improving reliability and costs to maintain mill assets.

  • Utilize engineering principles and practices to provide technical support for mill mechanical maintenance and operations.

  • Improve overall mill reliability through use of various tools and techniques including oil analysis and tribology, vibration analysis, ultrasonic analysis, and thermography.

  • Conduct root cause failure analysis and provide technical analysis with correction actions for plant equipment failures.

Major Activities & Tasks include:

  • Provide project management for large maintenance projects through scope definition, budgeting, procurement, installation, and start-up

  • Develop projects to improve mill reliability by replacing obsolete/ineffective equipment, repairing worn equipment, and making improvements where possible

  • Apply reliability principles, practices, and strategies associated with plan, process, and equipment by working with a diverse group of functional areas on projects such as root cause analysis, reliability centered maintenance, mechanical integrity, equipment maintenance strategies, uptime improvements, and plant equipment and process improvements.

Basic Qualifications:

BS in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree; good analytical problem-solving abilities; strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize. Will consider recent/upcoming graduate.
